UPDATE: This resource was created a few years ago and some information may be out of date. Therefore some activities will need to be updated.
This pack includes lots of different activities connected to the Rugby World Cup that could be used in classroom lessons across most subjects. It provides literacy and numeracy challenges, plus History, Geography and Art/Design activities. They could be used as stand alone starters or plenaries and some could be extended into full lessons.
Please leave feedback if these resources worked for you!
Enjoy :)
World Cup Selfies: Photo editing and fact finding project includes step by step for photo editing using Sketchbook (Mac), these steps could easily be followed using a similar photo editor such as Photoshop. It requires students to take a snapshot and cut out their face to later use in a country fact file slide.
The other activities included are as follows: literacy and numeracy challenges, memory retention tasks using video clips about the rugby world cup, and a homework task from a famous american selfie.
The files available for download are all different versions of the same slideshow, which is 36 slides long.
Hope you enjoy using these materials and above all else that the students enjoy the lesson(s).
Please leave me feedback or get in touch with me directly if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Stuart
